About the position

As a Staff Content Designer at SoFi, you will be responsible for shaping the future of personal finance by delivering a consistent voice throughout the user experience. This role involves establishing content frameworks, collaborating with various stakeholders, and focusing on product areas to enhance the overall experience for members. You will work closely with designers, researchers, and marketing teams to create effective content solutions that align with SoFi's goals and values.

Responsibilities

  • Drive content creation across multiple work streams within product areas, including new features and optimizations.
  • Establish and maintain content style guides and repeatable content frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Designers, Researchers, Marketing Creatives, and Brand Strategists to iterate and drive clear solutions.
  • Develop effective solutions based on research, member insights, and industry best practices.
  • Present content solutions and communicate design intent through documentation and presentations.
  • Collaborate with other content designers to ensure alignment and consistency across the user experience.
  • Share work early and often for visibility and alignment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product design/UX roles.
  • Strong point of view on voice, tone, and formatting.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of tools (e.g., Figma, Witer.AI, CMSs, Github).
  • Expertise in content design best practices across software products.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and marketing.
  • Ability to translate user research and product data into informed design solutions.
  • Track record of delivering cohesive language and patterns from initial concepts to launch.
  • Experience presenting work to senior leadership and advocating for user needs.

  • Experience working on financial products.

  • Experience with multi-phased, long-term initiatives.
