About the position

The Customer Success Manager at Shield AI will play a pivotal role in ensuring that customers derive maximum value from the Hivemind Enterprise Software. This position is centered around proactive engagement with clients, focusing on their success and satisfaction with the product. The Customer Success Manager will be responsible for managing account health, which includes monitoring customer usage, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring that customers are achieving their desired outcomes. This role is not just about maintaining relationships; it is about building strong partnerships that foster trust and collaboration. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout their journey with Shield AI. This includes onboarding new clients, providing training to ensure they are comfortable using the software, managing offboarding processes when necessary, and driving contract renewals. You will develop and implement tailored customer success plans that align with each client's specific goals and objectives. Regular reviews will be conducted to assess progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure that customers are on track to meet their targets. Collaboration is key in this position. You will work closely with sales and product teams to address customer needs and feedback, ensuring that the product evolves in a way that meets market demands. Additionally, you will own and drive the contract renewal process, working alongside the sales team to identify opportunities for revenue expansion through a land and expand strategy. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage projects will be crucial in navigating the complexities of customer relationships and ensuring long-term success for both the customers and Shield AI.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in customer success or account management
  • 3+ years of experience working with large enterprise customers
  • Proven experience in revenue renewal and retention for multi-million-dollar contracts
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of AI and robotics technology
  • Experience building and running a small customer success team at a startup
  • Familiarity with the defense aviation industry
