About the position

The Staff Data Analyst at Western Alliance Bank plays a crucial role in driving Enterprise Data & Analytics solutions, particularly focusing on data solutions for Regulatory Reporting. This position involves collaborating with business and technology teams to ensure alignment of data requirements, documenting data profiling results, and providing expertise in analytics and visualization. The analyst will also mentor other team members and contribute to data quality management, enterprise data warehouse solutions, and data governance activities.

Responsibilities

• Drive Enterprise Data & Analytics solutions for Regulatory Reporting.
• Ensure alignment of data requirements between business and technology teams.
• Document results of data profiling to facilitate decision making.
• Develop and publish analysis artifacts and mentor other analysts.
• Implement data quality management and develop data quality rules.
• Implement enterprise data warehouse and analytics data store solutions.
• Assist with Data Governance and data profiling for source systems.
• Assist with ad hoc business inquiries using SQL queries and PowerBI dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, MIS, or Data & Analytics or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years' experience with data analysis and regulatory reporting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data quality management tools.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL and Power BI for data visualization.
