About the position

As a Staff Data Engineer at CVS Health, you will play a crucial role in the application development for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team. This position is responsible for designing comprehensive solutions that align with business requirements and advance the data warehouse towards its future state. The role demands strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate across various functional areas to resolve issues and ensure project alignment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions for the EDW team that meet business requirements.
• Provide technical direction for the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouse solutions.
• Assist in the identification and resolution of data quality issues.
• Work with project management to ensure alignment of plans with deliverables.
• Generate summary, statistical, and presentation reports for strategic initiatives.
• Participate in meetings as a member of the Data Warehouse team and assist in project management activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure effective communication of business priorities.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Data Warehousing.
• 9+ years of hands-on ETL experience (e.g., Informatica/DataStage).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with BigQuery (BQ).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with GCP or other cloud services (AWS or Azure).
• 9+ years of hands-on experience with Teradata.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of AGILE/SDLC methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
