About the position

As a DevSecOps Engineer on the NextGen OPIR Program, you will be an integral part of a small, high-performing Product Team, collaborating closely with a Scrum Master and Product Owner. Your role will involve supporting daily Scrum meetings, team demos, and monthly staff calls, all while working under general supervision to achieve larger team goals. You will be expected to embrace continuous improvement, prioritize outcomes over metrics, and foster a collaborative team environment. In this position, you will interpret complex system requirements and contribute to the detailed design, coding of new content, and bug fixes. You will also be responsible for unit testing, automating unit tests where possible, and contributing to integration testing as needed. The software integration projects you will work on will vary widely, encompassing satellite command and control software, satellite payload sensor management software, mission-specific software, and ground hardware and network control software. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and work effectively within an agile team. This is a mid-senior level role requiring a minimum of 9 years of professional experience and a BS degree or higher. A Final Secret security clearance is mandatory prior to starting the position. Responsibilities

  • Integrate into a small, high-performing Product Team led by a Scrum Master and Product Owner
  • Support daily Scrum Meetings, Team Demos, and monthly Staff Calls
  • Work under very general supervision in support of larger team goals
  • Support Ad hoc tasking and stretch assignments as outlined by Program Technical Leaders
  • Pursue continuous improvement, emphasizing outcomes over metrics
  • Interpret complex system requirements
  • Contribute to detailed design, coding new content and bug fixes
  • Contribute to unit testing and automate unit testing where possible
  • Contribute to integration testing as needed
  • Work on software integration projects including satellite command and control software, satellite payload sensor management software, mission-specific software, and ground hardware & network control software

Requirements

  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Flexibility and determination to learn new skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products
  • Experience with Integration and Test/Verification
  • Self-driven, ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • US citizenship, Secret Clearance, and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI Clearance
