About the position

The position of Staff Level DevSecOps Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin involves working on the Terrestrial Layer System Echelons Above Brigade (TLS-EAB) program, contributing to national security through innovative software solutions. The role requires expertise in software engineering and DevSecOps practices to support the integration and operationalization of advanced technologies for military applications. The engineer will collaborate with a diverse team in an Agile environment, focusing on software development, integration, and testing to enhance capabilities in the RF spectrum.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate open and modular hardware and software compliance in the field of Radio Frequency (RF) systems
  • Develop mission management software required to support integration and control of waveform processing applications
  • Engage in daily scrum and other weekly agile meetings
  • Support Integration & Test (I&T) teams on a sprint to sprint basis to troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and integration challenges
  • Work closely with system engineers and cybersecurity professionals to address system requirements and security considerations.

Requirements

  • Experience developing full stack software using a variety of languages, including C++, Python, and Java
  • Knowledge of modern DevSecOps tools and practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI, Nexus, Ansible, and Helm
  • Proficiency in developing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
  • Experience working with Linux OS, including basic system administration (emphasis on RHEL)
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies and domains.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including clusters and Container Network Interface (CNI)
  • Experience with inter-process communications (i.e., protobuf, gRPC, AMQ)
  • Working knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts, software-defined radio (SDR) frameworks, and real-time systems that include a mixture of firmware, embedded, and traditional software applications
  • Knowledge of Open Systems architecture (OSA) standards such as MORA, BigIron, JICD, SOSA, CMOSS, OMS/UCI
  • Experience in the Radio Frequency (RF) and Cyber Electronic Warfare (CEW) domains
  • Experience working with distributed development teams in an agile development environment
  • Ability/willingness to travel for test events
  • Active TS or TS/SCI Clearance (or ability to obtain)
