About the position

The Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to staff credentialing and education within the healthcare facility. This role focuses on the ongoing professional development of staff, including conducting orientations, coordinating mandatory education, and maintaining training records.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts new employee orientation and coordinates competency completion.
  • Ensures delivery of annual mandatory and continuous education for staff according to regulations and company policy.
  • Teaches in-house courses such as the NA training program and special care unit training.
  • Coordinates the employee health program, including immunizations and physical exams.
  • Monitors and ensures current licensure and certifications of facility staff.
  • Maintains employee education, training, and health files.
  • Assists in the screening and hiring of nursing staff when needed.
  • Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and regulations.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in the healthcare field, teaching, or training and development.
  • Valid LVN license or equivalent qualifications through experience or education.
