As part of the Networks, Integration & Automation (NIA) team, you will receive on-the-job training, technical mentorship, and personal development as you become a key part of our nationwide team. Your work will involve supporting various projects, including grid modernization, where reliable and secure communication for grid operations is essential. You will collaborate with electric utilities to enhance their capabilities with the latest technologies for remote monitoring, automation, and control, ultimately improving their operational efficiency. In the automation sector, you will work alongside cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and field technicians, to integrate control systems with existing infrastructure and equipment. Your role will also involve helping clients build redundant, long-haul, high-capacity data networks that cater to both business/IT needs and the operational requirements that keep the lights on. With the expansion of renewable energy technologies, you will connect these assets to electric grid infrastructure, providing critical communications for local utilities and system operators in areas such as offshore wind, solar photovoltaic (PV), hydroelectric power, and battery storage. Additionally, you will support the development of private carrier-grade networks for electric utilities, unlocking new capabilities to monitor and manage the grid effectively. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed analysis and testing of control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and performance requirements. You will assist or lead project deliverables such as bill of materials, specifications, yard layouts, equipment plans, wiring diagrams, and more. You will also identify, communicate, and assist in resolving project issues as needed, while adhering to established project schedules to meet deadlines. Close collaboration with client project teams will be essential to ensure that deliverables and services meet client standards and follow internal QA/QC guidelines. This position will require working in both office and field service environments, with on-site presence in Tucson multiple days each week.
