About the position

The position involves joining an experienced team focused on engine systems and module integration at GE Aerospace. The role is centered on inventing and developing future commercial aircraft engines, collaborating with major airframers to establish requirements and specifications, and leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams to design and mature new technologies and engine architectures. The position requires operational judgment and offers moderate autonomy in decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts component and product integration for maximum performance and operability.
  • Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down.
  • Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
  • Defines product requirements for modules, components, subcontractors, and partner teams.
  • Manages interfaces between components and execution organizations, driving CTQ/Risk trades within design teams.
  • Manages overall product configuration and configuration control system.
  • Develops specialized knowledge in their discipline and serves as a best practice/quality resource.
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Aerospace Engine Engineering Design and/or systems integration.
