About the position

Kennedy Jenks is seeking Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineers to join their Facilities Engineering team. The role involves working on various engineering projects across multiple industries, including mining, aerospace, and manufacturing, with a focus on delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. The position offers opportunities for engineers at different experience levels and supports a hybrid work model to promote work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Work on challenging projects in the mining and metals, aerospace, pulp and paper mill, food and beverage, and manufacturing industries.
  • Collaborate in a collegial and supportive multi-disciplined team-based environment on projects from initial planning stages through design, construction, and startup operations.
  • Deliver industrial engineering design and construction in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and California.
  • Conduct industrial engineering design, chemical and process calculations, bench and pilot testing, and provide engineering services during construction of projects.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical or other related field.
  • 0 - 5 years of engineering experience in planning, engineering, design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Prior engineering experience with industrial water, industrial wastewater, mechanical infrastructure, system controls, process automation, water/mass balances, or process design is preferred.
  • Project development oversight and project management experience, including scope, schedule, fee preparation, negotiation, project staffing, and coordination of activities related to planning, design, and construction.
  • Ability to obtain Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification within one year of employment or possess a Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • Experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) and design in similar applications (BlueBeam) is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management and client relationship management.
  • Familiarity with sustainable engineering practices and green infrastructure design.
