About the position

The Staff Engineer, Hardware Design is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including designers, customers, and manufacturing engineering, to ensure high-quality product development. The engineer will enhance designs based on feedback, support the manufacturing process, and develop new electrical systems and circuits for various applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to a sizable team of engineers.
• Take responsibility for non-technical elements of an engineering project, including people and financials.
• Review and interpret customer requirements/specifications and act as primary customer contact.
• Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions.
• Develop deployment strategies and plans.
• Lead the deployment of strategic complex programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
• Manage relationships with key vendors/partners.
• Research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems.
• Design, modify, and implement systems that meet customer and company needs.
• Create designs in line with company procedures, regulations, and customer standards.
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations.
• Solve complex problems and recommend system modifications.
• Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
• Create schematics, bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.
• Analyze and interpret data and information, creating reports and documentation.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of related experience in similar job roles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
