About the position

As a Staff Engineer in Hardware Design at Celestica LLC, you will play a crucial role in defining and developing thermal hardware architecture for electronic, server, and storage products. Your primary responsibility will be to provide innovative thermal solutions and responses to support requests for quotations. You will design thermal solutions that meet specific product specifications and conduct thorough thermal simulation analyses to verify the feasibility and identify potential risks associated with these designs. In this position, you will be tasked with sizing various thermal components, including thermal interface materials (TIMs), heat sinks, air movers, air filters, air ducting, and perforated plates. You will also conduct thermal design verification from the component level to the system level, supporting thermal testing efforts to ensure that all designs meet the required standards. Documenting thermal test plans and performing thermal airflow impedance and acoustic measurements will be essential parts of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying root causes of system failures and participating in project planning, scheduling, vendor selection, management, and procurement strategies. Collaboration with stakeholders on product initiatives will be key to your success, and you will be expected to stay current on leading-edge cooling technologies. This position allows for telecommuting up to 20% of the time, providing flexibility in your work environment. You will be expected to work full-time, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary of $124,800.26 per year.
