About the position

The position involves creating production plans and managing supply chain strategies for assigned products at Western Digital. The role focuses on achieving shipping and financial targets while resolving supply bottlenecks and ensuring optimal inventory levels. It requires collaboration with various stakeholders to coordinate delivery schedules and manage material procurement effectively.

Responsibilities

• Create production plan and material supply schedule for assigned products to achieve shipping and financial targets.
• Identify, diagnose, and help to resolve supply bottlenecks for assigned products to drive supply matching to demand.
• Manage inventory and supply chain strategy for assigned products to ensure appropriate service levels with optimal cost.
• Stewardship of I2 RE, Asia, Master Plan.
• Manage I2 runtime reduction efforts and daily review of supply response for assigned products.
• Coordinate with I2 Input Owners (Capacity, POM, Silicon/Fab, Materials Supply).
• Publish Factory Loading Forecast and Material Plan.
• Review site loading balance and identify capacity/material bottlenecks.
• Assist Execution Teams with Build Plan Execution.
• Review and adjust build plan firming for Asia.
• Coordinate materials procurement, inventory management, and excess disposition for Asia.
• Coordinate on delivery schedules and commitments with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering/Supply Chain Management or Bachelor's degree with 2 years relevant experience.
• Understanding of supply chain best practices.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work with multiple organizations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Extensive data analytical skills including advanced knowledge of MS Excel, VBA, SQL, and Tableau.
• Experience with Advanced Planning Systems such as i2 and SAP.
