About the position

The Network Staff Engineer - Agency Temp at SiriusXM Connect is responsible for merging engineering expertise with practical experience to align AWS Cloud solutions with business objectives. This role focuses on optimizing network solutions to meet customer needs and organizational goals, requiring deep technical knowledge in networking and innovative network architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, implement, and support AWS Cloud network solutions.
  • Provide senior-level technical leadership and contribute to network architecture development.
  • Offer expert guidance and collaborate with IT leaders and business stakeholders.
  • Lead data center project design ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Provide high-level support including design, configuration, troubleshooting, and problem management.
  • Engage with customers and internal partners throughout project lifecycles, offering platform configuration guidance.
  • Develop and propose solutions leveraging AWS to address critical business challenges.
  • Collaborate with the security team to implement robust measures protecting sensitive data.

Requirements

  • AWS certification in Network Engineering, Advanced Networking, and/or Solutions Architect is required.
  • 7+ years in Network IT Infrastructure, focusing on AWS Cloud solutions and related on-premises solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated capability in migrating complex network infrastructure to AWS Cloud.
  • Extensive experience with Aviatrix for managing multi-cloud networking solutions.
  • Proficient in automation tools such as Python and Terraform for network configuration and management.
  • Expertise in AWS CloudFormation and associated scripting using CI/CD methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • Proven leadership in network engineering with expertise in software-defined and cloud-native networking technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, or experience with API development for network automation.
  • Familiarity with operating in a data center environment, including experience with multiple vendor systems.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and networking technologies.
