About the position

The Staff Engineer Network - Network Engineer Lead position at Northrop Grumman involves leading network design and engineering efforts for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is critical in integrating the Missile Defense System, enabling strategic planning and operational management of missile defense operations. The candidate will work within an agile team, addressing complex technical challenges, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the successful execution of network projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead network design and engineering efforts for the C2BMC program.
• Solve complex technical problems and provide consultative direction.
• Train and mentor junior engineers on network technologies.
• Plan and execute significant projects on the Networks Team.
• Travel to remote locations for network installations and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain KPIs and metrics related to the Network Enterprise.
• Advise top management on advanced technical research and applications.

Requirements

• 12 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field; 10 years with a master's degree; or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI clearance.
• DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
• Extensive experience with networking protocols and troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience in network design, implementation, and management.

Nice-to-haves

• Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
• JNCP or CCNP Certification is highly desired.
• Prior C2BMC experience is desired.
• Python and Automation experience is highly preferred.
