About the position

The Staff Engineer Network - Network Engineer Lead position at Northrop Grumman involves leading network design and engineering efforts for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is critical in integrating the Missile Defense System, enabling strategic planning and operational management of missile defense operations. The candidate will work within an agile team, addressing complex technical challenges, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the successful execution of network projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead network design and engineering efforts for the C2BMC program.
• Solve complex technical problems and guide team members in technical execution.
• Train and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with other network engineers and work independently on large field projects.
• Plan and execute significant projects on the Networks Team.
• Create and maintain KPIs and other metrics related to the Network Enterprise.
• Travel to remote locations for network installations and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI clearance.
• 12 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field; or 10 years with a master's degree; or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
• Extensive experience with networking protocols and troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience in network design, implementation, and management.

Nice-to-haves

• Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
• JNCP or CCNP Certification is highly desired.
• Prior C2BMC experience is desired.
• Python and Automation experience is highly preferred.
