About the position
The Staff Engineer at RMA will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of construction materials through comprehensive testing and inspection services. This role is critical in supporting project managers and field staff while contributing to the overall success of construction projects. The position is based at the headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and involves collaboration with various teams to maintain high standards in engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review materials test reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine testing requirements.
- Review and distribute field and lab reports to clients.
- Develop and implement Quality Control Plans for various disciplines.
- Assist Project Managers in overseeing project deliverables and timelines.
- Support field staff with project-related issues.
- Conduct project research, prepare designs, calculations, and reports.
- Contribute to proposal preparation and project tracking efforts.
Requirements
- Knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience with Pavement Design and Laboratory Testing.
- EIT/FE Certification preferred but not required.
