About the position

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a Float Physical Therapist to provide therapy services in Hickory Hills, Illinois. Responsibilities

  • Interprets physician referrals and completes various evaluations.
  • Establishes and implements individual treatment plans based on evaluations.
  • Monitors and evaluates treatment outcomes, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Identifies and addresses factors affecting patient comfort.
  • Plans and completes patient discharge, including home programs and referrals.
  • Communicates and collaborates with stakeholders for optimal patient care.
  • Completes required documentation following policies and standards.
  • Records patient care and progress for assigned patients.
  • Completes daily statistics, billing, and scheduling.
  • Maintains productivity standards and adheres to billing policies.
  • Cleans and organizes treatment areas after patient sessions.
  • Demonstrates skill in using modalities and exercise equipment.
  • Promotes patient safety and participates in safety initiatives.
  • Engages in performance improvement activities to enhance care quality.
  • Manages assigned caseload and informs leadership of coverage needs.
  • Pursues professional growth through continuing education and in-services.
  • Orients new staff to clinical and department policies.
  • Participates in the evaluation process of co-workers.
  • May supervise physical therapy assistants and students.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Physical Therapy License in Illinois or Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • No prior experience required.
