About the position

The software engineer position at Broadcom focuses on bridging design and development to create an ecosystem of tools that enhance the user interface (UI) for Mainframe products. Responsibilities

• Produce deliverables for all products in the Mainframe division teams.
• Work collaboratively with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to understand requirements and design innovative applications.
• Build user interfaces and experiences using the in-house component library.
• Provide thought leadership on the evolution of digital procurement tools through design.
• Analyze, debug, and assist in problem-solving in both development and production environments.
• Support and contribute to end-of-iteration demos.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience; or a Master's degree and 6+ years of related experience; or a PhD and 3+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge and experience in Frontend Development technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, and React.
• Familiarity with MVC and MVVM architectural patterns in front-end architectures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Post-graduate coursework may be desirable.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members.
