About the position

The Fleet & Asset Operations Leader is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of critical applications, ensuring their availability and reliability. This role focuses on delivering resolutions to customer issues by leveraging new technologies and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. The leader will define a comprehensive operations strategy and collaborate with various teams to support the Fleet & Asset application landscape effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead definition of operations strategy and roadmap across the Fleet & Asset application portfolio
  • Work across functional, product and engineering teams to define a holistic support model and drive execution of the operations strategy
  • Lead a team of contractors focused on operational support for primarily cloud-based applications
  • Drive improvements for options and content of self-help
  • Identify innovations to improve support for end users
  • Establish governance with global knowledge leaders
  • Identify recurring issues and highlight them to the service owner; help find opportunities to reduce end user issues
  • Identify opportunities to send tickets to the appropriate queue at creation
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve support tools and processes
  • Participate in budgeting process and manage IT Infrastructure related projects and investments
  • Effectively manage contract resources and ensure effective supplier collaboration
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, respectful, innovative, and dynamic work culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience, or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 9 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Application Operational Support
  • Hands-on experience in 24x7x365 technical operations
  • Experienced in design, performance, availability, and scalability of infrastructure
  • Demonstrated understanding of Flight Deck principles
  • Demonstrated customer focus and ability to manage technical issues in complex situations
