About the position

The Staff IT Product Manager for Analytics at Databricks is responsible for driving the enterprise data and AI strategy using Databricks' product set for internal use cases. This role involves collaborating with various leaders and partners to develop and deliver a roadmap for data and AI products, ensuring alignment with best practices and long-term goals. The manager will oversee the business outcomes of data, analytics, and AI projects by working closely with engineering and analytics teams, contributing to the growth of the Data Analytics, Engineering & Integration team.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision and strategy for end-to-end data, analytics, and AI products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and define product requirements.
• Build prototypes for end users to demonstrate product value.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely launch of high-quality data products.
• Drive adoption of data products with business teams.
• Analyze opportunities for data products and build measurement frameworks to quantify business impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant product management experience; 6 years with a relevant master's degree.
• Strong understanding of big data technologies such as Spark and related data products.
• Experience in launching analytics products for internal and external customers.
• Strong expertise in developing technical roadmaps and prototypes.
• Strong data and metrics skills to support assumptions and drive actions.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience operating as a scrum master.
• Strong communication skills across all levels within the company.
