About the position

The IT Project Manager at ManTech International plays a crucial role in managing projects related to network, security, and cloud operations. This position involves defining project scope, coordinating activities, managing risks, and ensuring stakeholder engagement while adhering to project management best practices. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to guide project teams and deliver quality results in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Define scope, objectives and deliverables within the network, security and cloud operations environment
  • Coordinate project activities and develop project schedules
  • Create work packages tied to milestones, identify dependencies, and schedule work
  • Track and report on project milestones and deliverables
  • Assist in identifying and assessing risks related to network, security, and cloud operations
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and monitor risks throughout the project
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize operations tasks and engineering projects
  • Provide routinely scheduled reports to senior managers on task and project performance
  • Maintain visibility of all tasks and projects with the PMO team
  • Provide updates on network, security and cloud operation policies, SOPs, and Best Practices to the PMO team
  • Coordinate procurement, installation and maintenance of network, security, and cloud systems
  • Support the development of briefings and presentations for customers
  • Manage change requests related to network, security, and cloud operations
  • Define and monitor project quality standards and conduct quality control checks
  • Provide technical expertise and data to support customer decision-making on solution alternatives
  • Guide project team execution and provide technical direction
  • Mentor team members to improve support to the customer

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, finance, business management, or related degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager
  • Knowledge and experience applying project management best practices
  • IT knowledge and understanding
  • Experience on projects involving Agile and DevOps processes
  • Understanding of and some experience overseeing implementation of ITIL practices
  • Experience leading small project teams

Nice-to-haves

  • A Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification
  • An Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification
  • Experience with Change Control Boards and change management
  • Experience working with ServiceNow
  • An advanced degree
