About the position

The Staff Lifeguard position at Tecumseh Public Schools involves assisting the Head Lifeguard in ensuring the safety and welfare of the public in the swimming area. This part-time role includes supervising the pool deck, maintaining the facility, and attending mandatory meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Lifeguard with opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise the swimming area and pool deck.
• Assist in maintaining the pool and surrounding facility area.
• Work to ensure safety and general welfare of the public.
• Attend all mandatory staff meetings, workshops, or trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Director.

Requirements

• CPR/Lifeguard Certified or willing to obtain prior to start.
• High moral character and integrity.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
