About the position

The Staff Linux Systems Administrator position at Lockheed Martin involves supporting the Hypersonic Strike Weapons Systems program, focusing on maintaining and managing Linux and Windows server environments. The role requires an active DOD Secret clearance and entails a variety of responsibilities including technical support, vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. The position is onsite in Littleton, CO, and may involve off-shift hours and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist users with resolving technical issues with applications, connectivity, and accounts.
  • Perform environmental vulnerability scans and remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Support users across multiple sites including Denver, Sunnyvale, Huntsville, and Courtland.
  • Ensure all Lockheed Martin assets and software are properly accounted for, managed, and controlled.

Requirements

  • Active DOD Secret clearance required.
  • Proficiency in Linux/UNIX Server Administration.
  • Experience with Windows environments and server performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of scripting skills to automate tasks on servers (Perl, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) processes.
  • Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management.
  • Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days.
  • Experience with software application installation.
  • Ability to lift 30lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with High Performance Compute (HPC) Environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD).
  • Knowledge of operating systems life cycle management and configuration management.
  • Knowledge of network support in a classified environment.
  • Current Security+ or CISSP certification.
  • SQL experience.
  • Familiarization with Virtualization (VMware or HyperV).
  • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery.
