About the position

The Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Actalent will engage with business teams to identify opportunities for AI and machine learning solutions. The role involves designing, building, and deploying advanced AIML models to address complex business challenges, while also collaborating with engineers and infrastructure partners to ensure robust and scalable implementations. The engineer will communicate insights and recommendations to partners and senior leaders, and stay updated on the latest trends in AI and data science.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business teams to identify opportunities for AIML solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy AIML models to solve complex business problems.
• Understand key performance metrics to highlight operational issues and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and infrastructure partners for scalable solutions.
• Communicate results and insights to partners and senior leaders with actionable recommendations.
• Research and present new ideas to enhance the team's technical capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience in AI System Development
• Foundational Model Lifecycle Training
• Proficient in Large Language Models (LLMs) Architecture
• Experience with MLflow and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Knowledge of proprietary models (e.g., GPT-4) and open-source models (e.g., Llama, Mistral)
• Familiarity with NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, GPT-3, BERT, Hugging Face's Transformers)
• Problem Definition, Data Acquisition, and Full-cycle Deployment experience.
