About the position

H2M architects + engineers is seeking a Staff Engineer in the HVAC Department, providing an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with 2-4 years of experience. This role focuses on design and development tasks for HVAC projects, project administration, and collaboration with other engineering and architecture departments. The position emphasizes professional growth in a supportive learning environment, enhancing project management skills and client relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications for HVAC projects.
• Assist in project administration including gathering information, writing reports, drafting proposals, and tracking project costs.
• Coordinate with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm.
• Engage in client interaction and teamwork with other disciplines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2-4 years of design experience in a consulting environment with an emphasis on HVAC projects.
• Experience preparing construction specifications and drawings.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• EIT (Engineer in Training) certification desired.
• CPD (Certified Plumbing Designer) certification desired.
