Staff Nurse, OR

About the position

The Staff Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) at Surgery Partners is responsible for providing high-quality patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves overseeing and guiding other employees, ensuring adherence to the Center's standards and mission. The Staff Nurse will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and must demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to cater to patients of varying ages and needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on the nursing process.
• Oversee and guide employees under supervision.
• Support and promote the Center's Philosophy and mission statement.
• Assess patient needs and implement appropriate care plans.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care as necessary.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional and technical documents.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, with additional languages preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a surgical or operating room setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
