About the position

Comfort Keepers of NJ is seeking a Per Diem Staff Nurse (RN) to conduct in-home assessments and provide nursing care to clients in various locations including Robbinsville, Monroe, and North Jersey. The role involves assessing client needs, delivering care, supervising caregivers, and ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards while promoting health maintenance and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home assessment visits for clients.
• Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Interact effectively with clients and health team members to provide information on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Supervise caregivers in the home and delegate tasks as necessary.
• Perform medical assessments including vital signs and medication list reviews.
• Provide nursing services in accordance with the plan of care.
• Coordinate and integrate services provided to clients by all disciplines.
• Initiate and revise client care plans based on client needs and supervise caregiver care accordingly.
• Administer medications according to company policy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current, unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience required, with home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Copy of updated Physical, based on state requirements.
• Copy of updated TB results/Chest x-ray.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to wear a mask while in a client's home.
