About the position

The Staff Nurse in the Resource Team at the Endoscopy Center is responsible for managing and coordinating nursing care for patients and their families. This role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with healthcare teams, and the development of care plans based on assessments and clinical information. The nurse evaluates patient responses to treatments and interventions, incorporates evidence-based practices, and ensures effective communication and teamwork within the healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Delegate, coordinate, and manage nursing care and services for patients and families.
• Develop and initiate the plan of care based on nursing assessments and clinical information.
• Evaluate patient responses to disease processes and nursing interventions.
• Incorporate evidence-based research into nursing practices.
• Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and coworkers.
• Promote effective teamwork to meet customer service goals.
• Address unit-based issues related to quality of care and service delivery.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations or unplanned events.
• Manage the allocation and use of resources for patient care services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) with a signed contract to acquire BSN.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Tennessee.
• ACLS and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
