About the position

St. Elizabeth's Adult Day Care Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) to join their Adult Day Care Team. The role involves providing high-quality care to participants in a fast-paced environment, ensuring their well-being and comfort. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor participant health status and medical history.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education and support to participants and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
• Perform critical emergency care procedures as needed.
• Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation.
• Offer suggestions and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain basic life support certification and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

• Current LPN/RN license in the state of Missouri.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Experience in critical care of elderly and mentally impaired individuals.
• Ability to lift participants safely and effectively as part of daily duties.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Attention to detail; ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in geriatrics and rehabilitation medicine.
• Experience with electronic health record systems.
