About the position
Wernersville State Hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Physician 2 to provide leadership and direction in delivering quality medical care to patients. This role involves treating physically ill patients, conducting examinations, and collaborating with treatment teams to promote patient wellness. The position emphasizes effective communication and teamwork to ensure patient safety and care.
Responsibilities
- Treat physically ill patients using appropriate treatments and preventive interventions.
- Conduct physical and neurological examinations.
- Facilitate patient transfers to community hospitals.
- Render daily medical treatment to patients.
- Collaborate with treatment teams and attend staff and hospital committee meetings.
- Assist in patient education and wellness promotion.
- Maintain good working relationships with staff, relatives, and agencies involved in patient care.
Requirements
- Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.
- Possession of a license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.
Benefits
