About the position

The role involves developing CMOS image sensors (CIS) utilizing Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) modeling to predict optimal process conditions and pixel designs. The successful candidate will collaborate with foundry partners to address and enhance process-related issues that impact performance and yield. This position requires benchmarking simulations against silicon data, identifying any discrepancies, and proposing effective solutions. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with TCAD vendors to calibrate models, enhance capabilities, and improve efficiency in the design process. The role also includes analyzing and interpreting bench and wafer-level data using numerical analysis tools, as well as designing and managing silicon split lots in alignment with project goals and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CMOS image sensors (CIS) using TCAD modeling to predict optimal process conditions and pixel designs.
  • Collaborate with foundry partners to resolve and improve process-related issues affecting performance and yield.
  • Benchmark simulation results with silicon data, investigate discrepancies, and provide solutions.
  • Work with TCAD vendors on model calibration, capability enhancement, and efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze and interpret bench and wafer level data through numerical analysis tools.
  • Design and manage silicon split lots in accordance with project goals and schedules.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
  • Three (3) years of experience in CIS process integration.
  • Experience in Si based device technology (CMOS, CIS, etc).
  • Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and fabrication technologies.
  • Experience in CIS process integration and product engineering.
  • Advanced CIS pixel design skills.
  • Proficiency in TCAD process and device simulation (Synopsys Sentaurus).
  • Experience with advanced TCAD tools modeling and calibration.
