About the position

The Staff Product Designer will lead the visual evolution of DoorDash's design system, ensuring alignment with the company's visual identity across all product touchpoints. This role involves bridging product and brand, advocating for innovative technologies, and mentoring other designers to enhance the overall user experience.

Responsibilities

• Evolve the design system to maintain a cohesive, engaging user experience.
• Provide creative direction for visual design, motion, and animation within the design system.
• Promote consistency and quality across design elements, adhering to design principles and brand guidelines.
• Improve the visual craft bar across the design organization.
• Mentor product designers on visual design, brand alignment, and new design solutions.
• Collaborate with the in-house creative agency to innovate on behalf of users.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product/brand design, with a background in art direction or branding and identity.
• 3+ years of experience in design systems.
• Broad range of design experience, integrating new technologies into daily work.
• Ability to guide and mentor designers in creating visually compelling, brand-aligned product experiences.
• Experience in pixel-perfect execution and cohesive visual storytelling.
