About the position

As a Principal Product Designer at Intuit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the QuickBooks accounting mobile app. This position focuses on creating AI-powered business tools and financial management solutions for mobile-only users. You will lead the design of innovative end-to-end user experiences, enhance platform capabilities, and contribute to the mobile native design system, all aimed at helping small businesses achieve financial growth and expand globally.

Responsibilities

• Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences focused on mobile.
• Visualize ideas and concepts effectively for internal leaders, partners, and customers.
• Translate visions into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity.
• Deliver User Experience visions, UI specifications, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with researchers, product management, development, marketing, and other team members.
• Use facilitative leadership skills to drive outcomes for stakeholders and inspire collaboration.
• Lead and mentor junior members of the design team.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Human Computer Interaction, user experience, or relevant field; graduate degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of interface design experience in delivering high-volume, high-profile, or award-winning mobile products.
• Expert knowledge of user-centered design processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Deep knowledge of user experience methods, innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, and design principles.
• Experience leading product experiences from strategy to execution, including layout, typography, and color theory.
• High attention to detail and ability to connect big picture goals with nuanced details.
• Proven track record in setting a vision for customer experiences and delivering delightful products.
• Exemplary ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and functions.
• Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
• Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple complex projects.
• Expertise with industry-leading design tools and familiarity with mobile technologies.
