About the position

The Staff Product Designer for the TurboTax Live Assisted team is responsible for creating user-centered design experiences that enhance the service delivery of Tax Pros. This role emphasizes strategic thinking, collaboration, and the ability to balance user needs with business goals and technical realities. The designer will work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on innovative solutions that resonate emotionally with users while ensuring usability and desirability.

Responsibilities

• Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and specifications that illustrate design concepts and user experience visions.
• Collaborate closely with brand and product design teams to design components and patterns that meet business requirements.
• Define and advocate for a company-wide design system for Generative AI, ensuring its adoption across teams.
• Facilitate strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure cohesion between design and development efforts.
• Surface opportunities to improve processes, deliverables, and customer experiences across business units.
• Manage multiple complex projects efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of interface design experience with a proven track record in delivering high-profile products.
• Expert knowledge of user-centered design processes and experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in Agile development processes and working on technically complex initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of user experience methods, design principles, and problem-framing skills.
• Strong online portfolio showcasing relevant design work.

Nice-to-haves
