About the position

The Staff Product Designer at Intuit will play a crucial role in the TurboTax Live Assisted team, focusing on creating user-centered experiences that assist Tax Pros in delivering services effectively. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, storytelling, and design expertise to develop innovative solutions that meet user needs while aligning with business goals. The designer will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, translating complex ideas into simple, usable designs across web and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that balance user needs, business goals, and technological realities.
  • Influence a broad audience by visualizing ideas and concepts for internal leaders, partners, and customers.
  • Bring a bold vision and design strategy to life across multiple areas in the ecosystem.
  • Translate visions into concepts and designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity.
  • Deliver user experience visions, specifications, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Drive the best outcomes for multiple stakeholders using facilitative leadership skills.
  • Collaborate closely with brand and product design teams to design components and patterns.
  • Assist in defining the company-wide design system for Generative AI.
  • Advocate for design system adoption and act as a subject matter expert for other designers and developers.
  • Facilitate strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure cohesion across design and code implementation.
  • Define and improve collaboration and processes across business units to enhance delivery speed and quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, deliverables, and customer experiences.
  • Balance long-term considerations with continuous shipping, iterating, and evolving the design system.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Human-Computer Interaction, graphic design, or relevant field, or equivalent work experience; graduate degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of interface design experience with high-volume, high-profile, or award-winning products across multiple platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of user-centered design processes and experience working collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in Agile development processes and technically complex initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of user experience methods, innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, and design principles.
  • Proven track record in setting a vision for customer experiences and delivering delightful products and services.
  • Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams through facilitative leadership.
  • Organized, self-directed, and efficient in managing multiple complex projects.
  • Passion for creating emotionally resonant products.
  • Strong online portfolio available for viewing.
