About the position

As a Staff Product Manager for the Developer Platform team, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and adoption of Box's developer platform and tools. This position focuses on developing and promoting a robust developer funnel and ecosystem around the Box platform. You will collaborate closely with enterprises, external developers, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure that our APIs and developer tools effectively meet the needs of our customers and partners. In this role, you will strategize and drive the full funnel from awareness to engagement for Box's APIs, targeting customers, partners, and system integrators. You will work in collaboration with product managers, engineering, developer relations, sales, marketing, and consulting teams to create solutions and initiatives that drive API adoption. Your responsibilities will also include experimenting with new ideas, pricing, and packaging to boost developer engagement and ensure measurable growth in the use of Box's APIs. Additionally, you will focus on improving the developer experience from onboarding to active engagement, which includes enhancing developer documentation, sandbox environments, and developer consoles. You will also represent Box at developer events in the Bay Area, building relationships and gathering feedback from the developer community. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a data-driven approach to driving growth and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Strategize and drive the full funnel from awareness to engagement for Box's APIs.
- Collaborate with PMs, engineering, developer relations, sales, marketing, and consulting teams to create solutions that drive API adoption.
- Experiment with new ideas, pricing, and packaging to boost developer adoption and engagement.
- Improve the developer experience from onboarding to active engagement.
- Attend and represent Box at developer events in the Bay Area to build relationships and gather feedback.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management with a focus on developer platforms, PaaS, APIs, or related technology products.
- Experience working cross-functionally with consulting, solutions engineering, system integrator, sales, and channel partners.
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand APIs and communicate effectively with developers.
- Proven experience in driving growth and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in creating content for developer audiences.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally and influence teams to achieve common goals.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with attending or speaking at developer events, especially in the Bay Area.
