About the position

As a Staff Product Manager at Walmart Connect, you will lead the design and development of innovative omni-channel advertising solutions that leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence. This role focuses on enhancing the advertising experience for Walmart suppliers and sellers, enabling them to reach shoppers effectively through Sponsored Ads. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product lifecycle management and optimize advertising performance, making a significant impact on the advertising landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and build of products backed by large-scale machine-learning models to improve ad prediction and conversions.
  • Serve as a thought leader and collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to build solutions for improving information retrieval techniques and predicting user interests.
  • Drive better yield for the Sponsored Products advertising platform through regular model optimizations and multiple experimentations.
  • Work closely with data science, engineering, product analytics, experimentation platform teams, and other cross-functional partners to design and implement new ad products.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from requirement definitions, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, KPIs, and launch efforts.
  • Identify new opportunities by conducting industry and competitive analysis to understand emerging trends in the advertising industry.
  • Define vision and strategies for your product family, using domain expertise and best practices to identify market opportunities and build business cases.
  • Build collaborative relationships with key partners by aligning priorities to business goals and communicating product roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 7 to 9 years in Product Management.
  • AdTech / MarTech experience in Sponsored Product / Sponsored Search / Paid search experience.
  • Strong industry experience in Machine Learning is required.
  • Digital advertising industry experience is required.
  • Experience with information retrieval or ads predictions and recommendations is a strong plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area.
  • 6 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
  • Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.
