About the position

As a Staff Platform Product Manager for Tax Tooling and Knowledge Management, you will lead the development of innovative capabilities to acquire, encode, and certify tax knowledge from government agencies. This role involves creating advanced tools such as site crawlers and impact analysis systems, shaping tax calculations, and enhancing user experiences. Your work will simplify tax compliance and drive business growth, making a significant impact on a global user base.

Responsibilities

• Craft a platform product & tools strategy in collaboration with product development, design, and architecture teams based on customer requirements and business goals.
• Build a short- and long-term platform vision and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Manage the product management process from backlog grooming to road mapping, including initiative and feature prioritization.
• Manage upstream and downstream dependency requests and timelines.
• Create product requirements documents based on strategy, dependencies, long-term vision, and customer needs.
• Drive technology and functional maturity of reusable platform components.
• Communicate and coordinate with the program management team.
• Work closely with architects and engineers to design secure and high-scale solutions for integration and deployment.
• Define success metrics and prioritize requirements using a data-driven approach.
• Partner with program management to ensure project execution and delivery by managing dependencies across teams.
• Engage with end-users to understand their pain points and gather insights for solutions.
• Represent the team in presentations, meetings, and events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in product management or related field.
• Deep understanding of product management processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record in platform PM roles and delivering platform capabilities for enterprise needs.
• Ability to learn quickly and become a domain expert with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrable technical depth in SaaS software development, including reading code and engaging with engineering teams.
• Experience in taking a data-driven approach to deliver impactful business results.
• Proficiency in program/project management and managing complex deliverables across multiple teams.
• Experience with Agile methodologies as a product owner, establishing clear requirements through detailed epics.
• Proven ability to define big visions and inspire teams to deliver innovations and impactful products.
• Strong customer-focused approach to strategy and priorities.
