About the position

The Staff Product Marketing Manager, Database at SolarWinds will lead the creative vision and storytelling for the database product portfolio, focusing on top-of-funnel marketing activities. This role involves collaboration with various teams to execute the Go-To-Market strategy, ensuring effective communication of complex technical messages to drive market awareness and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and will be responsible for product positioning, thought leadership, product launches, demand generation, and sales enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Refine the positioning and messaging of the database portfolio to address customer challenges.
  • Generate insightful content such as webinars, blogs, and e-books to influence various stakeholders.
  • Plan, create, and execute product launches to drive awareness and demand.
  • Collaborate with the demand generation team to develop campaign strategies and monitor effectiveness.
  • Create comprehensive product marketing plans covering various business initiatives.
  • Execute the go-to-market strategy and influence teams across business areas.
  • Work closely with sales to understand their challenges and develop relevant training and sales tools.
  • Provide product and market expertise for digital and live events.
  • Identify and validate market problems through customer interviews and competitive analysis.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in B2B technology marketing.
  • Knowledge of the Database market, including on-premises and SaaS.
  • Experience producing creative, technical content.
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for product and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to craft compelling product messaging for diverse demographics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to navigate a cross-functional, highly matrixed environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in product marketing is preferred but not required.
  • Background in campaigns, demand generation, or content marketing is beneficial.
