About the position

Discovery is at the heart of everything we do at TJX Companies. As a Staff Product Owner for Data Security Engineering, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our data security services. This position involves collaborating with engineers, product management, security leadership, and various stakeholders to develop strategic roadmaps that align with our business objectives. You will be the voice of the customer, building and managing relationships with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met while also engaging dependent teams to support our initiatives. Your role will require you to think creatively and proactively to address challenges as they arise. In this position, you will set a clear direction for your product team, guiding engineers to implement the right work at the right time to achieve maturity objectives and deliver incremental value. Your responsibilities will include leading refinement and planning sessions, maintaining service roadmaps, and participating in quarterly business reviews with key vendors. You will need to respond to external challenges and re-plan as necessary, keeping leadership and stakeholders aligned on any changes in delivery. We are looking for creative, security-minded professionals who can provide hands-on talent and social expertise in protecting TJX and its assets. You will need to translate business needs into actionable features and stories that yield business value, clearly defining and influencing the vision and scope with acceptance criteria. Strong analytical skills are essential for analyzing options and driving solutions for complex business problems. You will also need to communicate ongoing risks, scope trade-offs, and timeline impacts effectively to ensure alignment with partners. Collaboration with Product Managers and other Product Owners will be key to defining and coordinating feature development across various IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers, product management, security leadership, and stakeholders to develop a strategy and roadmaps for Data Security Engineering services.
• Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, acting as the voice of the customer.
• Engage dependent teams for support and creatively address challenges.
• Set a clear direction for the product team to implement the right work at the right time.
• Lead refinement sessions and planning sessions.
• Maintain service roadmaps and participate in quarterly business reviews with key vendors.
• Respond to external challenges and re-plan as needed while keeping leadership and stakeholders aligned on delivery changes.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of related experience in an agile delivery framework or requirement development or Product Owner role.
• Proficient in translating business needs into Features and Stories for development.
• Strong analytical skills to analyze options and drive solutions for complex business problems.
• Understanding of Epic, Feature, and Story refinement, and Story point estimation process.
• Good communication skills for ongoing risks, scope trade-offs, and timeline impacts.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) preferred.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and awareness of NIST CSF.
• Experience with encryption, Public Key Infrastructure, and data masking concepts and best practices.
