The Staff Program Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific plays a crucial role in leading program and project teams within the Bio Production Group. This position focuses on meeting design control and business requirements while managing scope, schedule, and budget to achieve strategic business results. The role involves proactive risk identification and mitigation, timeline management, and ensuring compliance with company processes for developing Research Use Only (RUO) products.

  • Serve as Core team lead for program and projects teams to meet design control and business requirements.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop plans to address them, facilitating tradeoff decisions at the portfolio level.
  • Develop and control program timelines with internal functions and external partners.
  • Build, monitor, and control budgets with Finance and vendors.
  • Conduct internal and external team meetings to ensure data-driven decisions and supervise progress.
  • Present and communicate to senior leadership at Product Approval Committee (PAC) checkpoint meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Product Commercialization Process (PCP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher.
  • 6+ years of program management experience, including principles, tools, and applications.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in new product development using a phase gate framework.
  • Proficiency with project management tools.
  • Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Outstanding influencing skills to drive decisions without formal authority.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships across the organization.
  • Ability to lead and drive complex decisions and problem-solving.
  • Attention to detail and passion for driving timely results and improvements.
