Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is critical in providing professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies and procedures. The RN will work in a dynamic environment that serves a diverse patient population with complex cardiac and neurological needs, including patients recovering from severe critical illnesses. The Neuro Cardiac Intermediate Unit, known as 9B, is a 19-bed unit with 6 high acuity beds and 13 telemetry beds, where the typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 for progressive patients and 1:4 for telemetry patients. The RN will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health, developing individualized care plans, implementing care delivery strategies, and evaluating progress toward goals. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with healthcare consumers and other stakeholders, as well as the ability to lead within the professional practice setting. The RN will also integrate evidence and research findings into practice, contributing to quality nursing practice and promoting shared governance within the facility.
