About the position

The Staff Research Associate II position is designed for recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in cancer research. This role offers advanced professional training in both basic and translational cancer research within an academic laboratory setting, providing an opportunity to contribute to significant research projects under the guidance of a Principal Investigator (PI).

Responsibilities

• Perform in vitro experiments using techniques such as aseptic cell culture, molecular cloning, RNA isolation, PCR, western blotting, and microscopy.
• Conduct in vivo experiments using mouse models of cancer.
• Obtain, analyze, and carefully record experimental data.
• Write reports and present experimental results.
• Maintain laboratory supply inventory, centralized files, and records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry or Cellular Biology.
• Some previous laboratory experience in academia is desired.
• Good organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Passion for personal development in a research environment.
