About the position

At Saint Clare's Health, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our community. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team, delivering essential services to patients in our facilities. Your responsibilities will include treating patients, educating them about their mental and medical conditions, and providing emotional support to both patients and their families. You will also be involved in running therapeutic groups and conducting psychiatric crisis interventions, which are vital for patient recovery and well-being. In this role, you will be responsible for recording patients' medical histories and symptoms, assisting in diagnostic tests, and analyzing results. Operating medical machinery and administering treatments and medications are also key components of your duties. You will help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation, ensuring that patients receive the care they need throughout their recovery process. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries, including guidance on diet, exercise programs, and the self-administration of medications and physical therapy. This position requires a strong understanding of mental health laws and practice standards, as well as knowledge of the interdisciplinary treatment team process and behavioral health programming. You will be working in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units, contributing to the continuum of care for our patients. Your expertise and compassion will be essential in helping our patients achieve their health goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Treat patients and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Educate patients about their mental and medical conditions.

Requirements

  • Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
  • Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process.
  • Understanding of behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient units.
  • Knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
