About the position

The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family centered care. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute and evaluate the plan of care. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics delegates and supervises care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assumes responsibility for their professional development. Major accountabilities of this role include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with in-clinic minor procedures. May float to other areas on as needed for operations need. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic patient and family centered care
  • Collect and assess data related to patient health status

  • Consider safety, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability in care delivery
  • Delegate and supervise care according to WI Nurse Practice

  • Coordinate patient care
  • Provide direct patient care
  • Educate patients
  • Perform telephone triage/eVisits
  • Assist with in-clinic minor procedures
  • Float to other areas as needed

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience, preferred
  • Nursing licensure required
  • Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
