This role will be for our Tewksbury UC location. We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Urgent Care Center in Tewksbury Urgent Care, where residents are treated by top physicians and have access to specialists and follow-up care at Lowell General Hospital. You will treat walk-in patients with a variety of medical conditions that require prompt medical attention, such as allergies, rash or hives, dehydration, urinary symptoms, scrapes or lacerations, sprains or possible fractures, stings and bites, minor burns, or conditions needing X-rays or laboratory tests. The position requires working 24 hours per week, with shifts from 8am to 8:30pm, including every third weekend, and two twelve-hour shifts a week.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Urgent Care Center.
- Assess and treat walk-in patients with various medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care.
Requirements
- RN Massachusetts license required.
- BLS certification required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse (RN) strongly preferred.
