About the position

The Staff Engineer - Mechanical Design (Rotating Parts) at GE Aerospace is responsible for the mechanical design, manufacture, and delivery of rotating parts for next-generation narrow body jet engines. This role involves pushing the boundaries of technology and materials while contributing to the development of advanced aviation technologies. The position is part of the Compression Systems Design team and offers a hybrid work schedule after training.

Responsibilities

• Execute with limited guidance the design and analysis of rotating parts using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
• Provide technical guidance that influences outcomes to other people supporting complex tasks; mentor others in the organization.
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned hardware consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
• Develop action plans, with guidance, to respond to issues/problems.
• Recommend the approach to meet the technical and program requirements.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews with internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• At least 7 years of engineering experience in rotating part hardware design.
• Must be willing to work out of an office located in Evendale, OH.
