About the position

Discovery is at the heart of everything we do at TJX Companies. As a Staff Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in our Cybersecurity Assurance team, leveraging your expertise in Cybersecurity, Agile methodologies, and IT delivery leadership to enhance our capabilities in Cybersecurity Architecture, Application Security, and Threat Actor Emulation. This position requires a proactive approach to facilitate the development of Cyber Assurance KPIs and associated reporting, ensuring that our teams are aligned and effectively removing impediments to progress. In this role, you will engage with stakeholders and project teams to manage capacity and facilitate work, while also supporting budget and contract management across the teams. Your responsibilities will include applying Agile principles to develop and manage work plans using tools like JIRA, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will need to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including senior management, regarding strategy, risk, and ongoing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong documentation skills, the ability to adapt to a changing environment, and a positive attitude towards Agile processes. You may also be required to perform Product Owner responsibilities for Threat Actor Emulation and Product/Platform Security Architects, managing backlogs and driving long-term planning for operational improvements. This position may involve managing up to three Scrum Teams, each consisting of 6-12 members, and requires a relevant undergraduate degree in IT or Business, along with a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master certification.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and support the development of Cyber Assurance KPIs and associated reporting.
  • Engage with stakeholders and project teams to manage capacity and facilitate work.
  • Support budget and contract management across teams.
  • Apply Agile principles to develop and manage work plans using JIRA.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization regarding strategy, risk, and ongoing operations.
  • Provide EPIC support with risk management and release management.
  • Facilitate release planning activities and ensure tasks flow smoothly through phases.
  • Perform Product Owner responsibilities for Threat Actor Emulation and Product/Platform Security Architects as needed.
  • Manage up to 3 Scrum Teams (6-12 people per team).

Requirements

  • Expert in Project management Agile/Kanban/Scrum principles.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Assurance Services.
  • Expert user of Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, preferably Jira/Confluence.
  • Strong documentation skills: clear, concise, structured, and professional.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • 8+ years' experience as Scrum Master or Project/Program Manager with dedicated agile teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with Assurance, specifically with Application Security Tools.
  • Experience with Threat Actor Emulation or Product/Platform Architects.
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility within the role is important.
