About the position

The Silicon and Package Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of silicon and package products throughout their lifecycle, from design to manufacturing. This role involves developing and executing reliability tests, analyzing failure data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate potential reliability risks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute reliability tests for silicon and package products, including HTOL, THB, ESD, Latchup, and package-level reliability tests.
  • Analyze failure data from reliability tests and customer returns to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain reliability models and simulations to predict product reliability and identify potential risks.
  • Collaborate with design teams to incorporate reliability considerations into the design process.
  • Qualify manufacturing processes to ensure they meet reliability requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their products meet reliability standards.
  • Analyze and report reliability data to inform product decisions, including reliability test results and failure rates.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as JEDEC, AEC, and IEC.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate reliability results and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in silicon and package reliability engineering and familiarity with industry standards such as JEDEC, AEC, and IEC.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor physics and device operation.
  • Experience with reliability test development and execution.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis techniques (e.g., FA, TEM, SEM).
  • Proficiency in reliability modeling and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, Monte Carlo).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
